Abstract

In this article Dr. Shephard gives personal insight into the people and institutions that shaped his prestigious career. He graciously shows how his early mentors and experiences affected his future exploration. He has provides us with an understanding of how he came to reside in Canada, and shape the foundation of the exercise sciences in Canada.
