Abstract

This paper proposes a coachingfocused model of professional strength and conditioning. In thisproposal we challenge the current philosophy and present a model of practice whichconsiders the evidence base of professional knowledge. Specifically we presenta challenge to the dominance of a biomedical model of practice. It argues thatpersonal interaction as opposed to science should form the foundations ofunderstanding the professional practice. Ultimately we attempt to define thenature of the strength and conditioning
